Violet and Iris consists of our lead cinematographer Andrew, lead photographer Samantha, and cinematographer James. Originally based in New York, we began working in the photo/video production business in 2013. Now, we are eager to service couples in the beautiful Tampa area!
As a working professional in the motion picture and television industry for over ten years, Andrew translates a love of great filmmaking to every couple’s video. A graduate audio engineer, Andrew has studied film at the NY Film Academy and is a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and the Motion Picture Editors Guild. Samantha began studying photography in 2016 during her undergraduate education at Stony Brook University. She has been able to apply her talent and attention to detail, lighting, and aesthetic to every couple’s special event. Her calming nature makes the often stressful time leading up to the wedding day a time of joy and fun which makes for great cinematic moments. Samantha’s experience working with brides and professional models has made her the perfect fit as photographer and creative director for Violet and Iris.
James is a video producer, director, and writer with over ten years of experience. He has produced innovative content for television, film, and all social media platforms. He specializes in television commercials and digital marketing campaigns, short films, and wedding/special event videos. James has worked for HBO, iN DEMAND, and MSG Varsity Network, and is now proud to lend his talents as a cinematographer for Violet and Iris.
